NITTANY LION INN AT PENN STATE
June 9-11
Alpha Phi was well represented by Suzanne Mackulin, Mary Anne Battaglia, Judy Bookhammer, Donna Shultz, Haddie Weber, Donna Watson, Elaine Harmon, Flo Whetsel, and Becky Johnen. Haddie provided piano accompaniment at the First General Session, Celebration Luncheon and the State President’s Banquet. Flo was performed as part of the state choir. Becky presented a session on What’s Your Feel Age to 90+ sisters. The chair project notecards were sold in the “marketplace” raising funds for the Bright Beginnings Early Learning Center.
“Our DKG Journey” with President Tracey Dusch ended at the conclusion of the State President’s banquet. For two years, we rode the train with her as our conductor. But, the DKG journey didn’t end there. At the Honors Breakfast on the last day of the conference, 2017-2019 state President, Barbara Gasperini, had us boarding a cruise ship. As we set sail with our new captain, President Barb has asked all of us to broaden our “Circle of Membership” by taking a new voyage and spreading the word of DKG. We are sailing into the future with the “DKG… Circle of Member~ship.” We are all encouraged to experience leader~ship, scholar~ship, mentor~ship, friend~ship, and fellow~ship. What an invigorating way to conclude a wonderful weekend with our chapter and our state sisters!
